Cars from the collection of Nicola Bulgari: Summer Exhibit at the Sloan Museum

This exhibit highlights some of the finest examples of historic Buick automobiles from the collection of Nicola Bulgari. Featured are Mr. Bulgari's favorite, a 1935 Buick 96-S, and a 1940 Buick State Wagon that was once owned by movie star, Bette Davis.

This young, gifted jazz vocalist from Nashville is a star on the rise! Her rich voice and quick grasp of the subtleties of jazz can be heard in her repertoire of great American standards.

Now through June 15, 2008 at the Flint Institute of Arts, Michigan's 2nd largest art museum: M.C. Escher: Rhythm of Illusion and Jacques Moitoret: Portraits of the Most Important and Influential Artists of the Modern Era.

Rhythm of Illusion represents a cross section of prints and drawings by M.C. Escher, one of the most popular and intriguing artists of the 20th century. The exhibit includes 80 works of art through themes such as forms in space, experiments in perspective, landscape and fantasy scenes.

Portraits of the Most Important and Influential Artists of the Modern Era presents 18 portraits by Jacques Moitoret, of the most celebrated artists of the 20th century, including Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, Jackson Pollock and Jeff Koons.

Open May 24 through September 1, 2008: Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroad! Stroll around the 51-acre Village with 34 historic structures. Meet the friendly folks in period attire in their homes, mills, and shops dating back to the 1800's. While your there, take a ride on the Huckleberry Railroad, a Baldwin steam locomotive that provides the power to carry more than 400 passengers. The 35 minute, 8-mile ride will take you to the shores of beautiful Mott Lake and through the scenic Genesee Recreation Area.
